Keni Lee Burgess would be agood resource for tunings. Some variants he might recommend would be:
1) split "Celtic" tuning: D-A-D and G-A-D
2) split Drop D tuning: D-A-D and G-B-E
3) split Vestapol tuning: D-A-D and F#-A-D
You've already got split open G.
I bet he can put you on to quite a few more ideas.
Hahaha! I love the Top spinner idea! Somewhere (maybe on the official band website?) I remember seeing the fittings they used for the furry spinner axes - and I think they were some kind of ball pivot or ball bearing arm attached to the guitar, which hooked into a belt support system.

@Eric, I was planning on a spinner and the second neck is tuned upside down. On the back I have a wall plate (the size of an outlet). I was thinking of drilling it (or using a light switch cover) and running a bolt through it and a belt but there has to be a cleaner easier way... any ideas?
@Roadkill, You are right, it is a tight squeeze but the necks are really long and most of my strumming is at the edge of the box. I'm guessing back to back and maybe lock arms. I hope to get a friend over for a demo soon... but gotta make sure he showers first :)
@Oily, You are right and to make it more complicated it is tuned upside down... but I think it can be done. My biggest concern is that the low DGD is not going to sound as interesting as the higher GBD. Any ideas on a complete tuning for the 6 strings?

Great idea. What is puzzling me is just how two players would play it at once. It looks as if you would be getting rather intimate with the other player. Anyone for mixed doubles? A demonstration is needed. Good sound.
