I got a rhode of ebay that had been dropped down a toilet,..This ribbon was under a one er as B stock I have a couple of the £12 sm57 copies!...they do something which is better than nothing what ya need is PG48 and a SM57 for the amp.. the rohde mics are quiet too .. The ribbon needs a preamp...like a vale mic pre amp... see my link below of how to make a ribbon mic..
