Hmm. Lemme see if I can describe what you're seeing...oh, I see what you mean. That "wakka chikka wakka chikka" sound. It's an old funk trick, that was used in combination with a wah pedal back in the day. Also known as "bow chikka wow wow." Showed up in lots of blaxploitation movies after the Shaft film score came out, and was notorious for being overused in '70's porn flick soundtracks. Only I didn't have a wah hooked up. You get a similar effect if you crank the gain and throw on some delay with humbuckers, using the pick percussively.
I meant that thing where you're laying your fingers flat and jumping between what looks like the 15th, 7th and 12th. I'd never played with it. Lol. So sliding a mute around, not muting behind a slide.
Thanks, Trees! Oddly enough, I have trouble with the slide mute. I can do it, but not without thinking about it. Throws me off. So in the vid, I'm not actually muting; I like my slide to sound a bit more raw, so I'm just trying to get the intonation spot on, and get the slide vibrato thing working.

Yup. Good stuff.
Great composition and playing. That guitar ended up in a great home. I'm playing with that slide-mute thing right now. Cool stuff.
Sweet guitar and playing!! My favorite part of the vid was when the dogs slipped out to the party store for beer and slim jims!!
It won't last, hehehe
