  • The only power tool I had for the build was a drill. The rest was done by hand. If I get another Acid box I'll have to borrow a router and try that method.

  • Or remove some wood from under the lid, I`ve done that by using a router and about 1/8" of wood removed.

  • @ED...the trick I found was to put two pieces of poplar about 1" thick under the neck at the top and bottom of the box. It transfers the vibrations to the thinner bottom of the box. In effect the back is the soundboard. I had to devise some way to utilize that Acid box because it was the only one I could find locally lol.

  • Sounds great.  I have one of those Acid boxes and I've been reluctant to use it because the lid is so thick.  Yours sounds great.
