My first gourd instrument seems to be coming along. I like the tapered neck and sound holes.

    Looking nice. I just wonder if you will get enough energy to drive a wooden top, opposed to a skin. Nylon certainly will not do it. It will have to be steel. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to hearing how it works out for you. Enjoy.

    That's a great idea - I made a gourd instrument but couldn't get a gourd so I made one from papier mache! - didn't sound too bad but the neck broke as I used a cheap wood carving. Never did get around to the Mk II version!
