eye bolt tuners strike back!!!

here's another attempt with eye bolt tuners.while i'd like to add that they're not nearly as convenient as real tuners, they ARE available in almost any hardware store.so, it's really a proof of concept thing. and it works!it seems however that using a low E tuned naturally to the correct note is just too much for these tuners to handle, but it holds a D just fine.crank those wing nuts DOWN! keep wrenching until the washers practically sink in to the wood. then, tune up!

  • Yeah crank em. I have only used eyebolts and they are really frustrating until they actually tune. Needless to say I won't use them again (which was great on my first cbg). Now they look cool but hurt my hands and waste time. I'd be happy to have a cheap set of regular tuners and that's that. It was great to use eyebolts at first but never again. I learned though if your gonna go super cheap you gotta be willing to deal with the final result of inadequate tuning...unless your going for a piece of wall art which I ain't. You get what you pay for and those strings that snapped from eyebolt tuner frustration now just cost the same as having bought reg tuners to begin with....
