  • cheers Bob, yeah this was great event..60 something buskers playing over 3 days : -)
  • great love busking
  • thanks Barry, yep just got to make the best of it!
  • sorry to hear that.well that say that music tames the savage beast...so it cant be bad for a knackered back...plus your kickin arse at the music and making the best out a bad situation.fair play.
  • thanks Barry, it's something I'm pretty much stuck with ( problem started in 1984!!) but I'm always trying things help get it the best I can. This music stuff is a great distraction from the pain anyway : -)
  • hope your feeling better soon b.
  • thanks Hank and Ed, and Ed thanks for the info...have a feeling I've looked into that before. Not sure it would work for me as I have a fault in my spine where one of the vertebrae is not joined properly and moves about. Had surgery to stop it hitting a nerve as it moved, which helped the excruciating pain that would come randomly when it moved and hit the nerve, but was left with constant pain on the other side, probably from scar tissue and stuff. There's a lot to work against with any treatment!!

Glad you're able to do so much now, that's brilliant!!

  • Very entertaining!!!
  • Thanks for posting.  Makes me miss Cambridge.  Binman is great!

I don't know about your back pain, bemuzic, but this has helped me tremendously.  http://www.mckenziemdt.org/method.cfm  Luckily, my wife's step-father is a certified McKenzie PT.  My back got to a point that I almost passed out from the pain one evening.  It had been a nearly constant state of low grade pain from growing up on a farm followed by years of international business travel (airplane seats wrecked me). I was walking the next morning and almost pain free in a few days.  It has been ~8 years since then and I don't have any trouble anymore.  I built a barn last year the old fashioned way (no crane for heavy lifting) and decided to play mason with 200 pound flagstones over the last few weeks.  The most I do for meds is pop a couple ibuprofen or naproxen, but that is pretty rare.

    Here's the UK site:  http://www.mckenzieinstitute.co.uk/

I hope that might bring you some relief.  :)

  • Loved it, the kitchen sink was a hoot!
