The amp is just a radio that has been shorted out and had a 1/4" jack attached to the volume pot. It is muddy, but I like it that way.

Thanks Jim, Uncle John, and Derek! Yeah, the radio amps are a lot of fun and are accessible to a electronic novice like me; just solder the 1/4" jack to the volume pot and figure out a way to short the radio. The little ones always sound real nasty, which I love, but I have been messing with some larger ones that get decent clean sound as well.
