Ok, I have two questions.
Do you use a preamp on your high tech mic or just run it straight to an amp? ( I can get a similar sound from software effects, but how cool is this?)
Secondly, on fancy Samsonite bass kick drum. Anyone try it open, half shell or with a port hole in the front side?
