This is my 7th homemade string instrument made from a cigar box. I made this one with things I had on hand and it came out surprisingly well. I really like the way it sounds.

Ha ha. Silly gophers. ;-)

I skim viewed your DIYs.   I had to chuckle at #5, liked the tin can mic, cat door, hat rack, and gopher launcher.  But I felt bad for the poor gopher.

Thanks for watching Uncle and Nancy.

@Unc - I'm considering changing out the bridge for a wooden one but I haven't done it yet. And I have an playlist of all my DIY creation videos on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjLjftIoq00&list=PLwIixlr7C6KUb...

@Nancy - that picture is hilarious. It made me LLOL (Literally Laugh Out Loud).

I like that git.  And after thinking you need a fancier bridge/saddle -   I like the bolt.  CBG tradition.   Nice wood burning stars!   Oh... I like that plugged in sound.

But now I am curious about what the 20 non-CBG DIY projects were.

Thanks fellas. This build came out really nice just using things on hand.

Nice tour of #7. Very sharp build Poorness. Good slider and pickup. Happy Pickins to you.

Nice one Poorness :)) Great tone. I like single coils in these CBG's & I also used parts I had for my very first build. That was/is a bridge pick up from my son's '93 USA Standard strat which we replaced with a Seymour Duncan mini humbucker. Just a tip, to reduce or eliminate unwanted hum with single coil p/u's shield the underside of the cigar box top with kitchen foil glued on.
