Thank you Tracy for your comment. This banjo-tam is a good quality entry level instrument that sells for a reasonable price. I sold my English zither banjo awhile back, so it is nice to have a banjo in the house again to experiment with arrangements. Enjoy.
Hello Tracy We had a good trip up to Burns Lake. It was still winter up there compared to us though. But now they are having a better time of it than us. We had a granddaughter. Eight pounds one ounce. Saige Sofia is her name. Also caught some nice trout in Babine Lake. Getting the boat ready for some trips also playing lots of music. Hopefully see you soon on Quadra and hit the H.B.I. Cheers Richard.
This cigar box musical intruments is just phenomenal! I was looking for cb fiddle/violin/harp (wow) and just viewed WC Fields playing a one string cb fiddle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX_YnXffRAI&feature=related
This CB music is most definitely a huge world .. just fascinating!!!
Hi Tracy .. thanks for the encouraging remarks!!! I'm not a musician - I've taken fiddle/violin lessons over the years and would never torture anyone with my practising! Especially my Les .. he's patient though and never complains!
this cigar box music interests me .. I love the authenticity of it. It's so folk art and the sounds are incredible!!! A whole new world to discover!!!
tracey..that sounds real good to me..i will run it past melodie and see what she thinks..probably yes...i will keep you posted..that is tommorow night at 7.00 ..bob.
tracy..that sounds cool, my wife melodie is starting a new job that day so she might be frazzzed..is that the pub in willow point...what time?? i tried to email you twice and it gets returned to me...bob.
tracy..hi, bob here..small world we live in. would be cool to get together with you and also richard and compare notes on our builds...i,m on no#3 now..we have just moved to a smaller place and i haven't got my workshop organized yet...bob.
hello Tim Glad to hear someone else is playing cbg also in my area. I am in Mexico right now will be home in a couple of weeks. Maybe meet you after that. Cheers Richard.
you couldnt ask for anything else, as far as the mistakes go thats all part of the learning process. Ive done 2 and have already learned a ton over the year plus time, but when I do number 3 Im sure something going to go wrong, but if I keep watching and learning Ill do better every time ( I think ). again nice job
Yea, only problem is doing other stuff, just wanna build, play, repeat! There is a wealth of info in here and lots of helpful folk. Need anything, just ask.
