Kieth,

You know I am a fan of octave tuned 2 strings.  I just recently started playing a G/D tuned deuce using the 5th and 4th string from a 6 string set.  I like the tone a lot and it pretty much plays the same as the octave tuned ones.

Hi Keith, Thanks for your nice comments.  I'm glad you are enjoying the G &G 2 string.  I have not tired of mine and plan 2 songs on it at the next open mike night.  Are you thawed out up there in Maine?  I like your phot show.  Some good arty gits!

howdy keith, thanks for the comment on the brass body reso.i still havent done a vid with it yet but i intend to do that. it plays well and is not very loud like it is but it does sound ok acousticly. i,m prolly gonna load a piezo unnder that brass plate under the bridge fer max volume potential. thanks again man.

Hey Keith - thanks for your comment about #9 actually that is a 4"cake pan... You can hear what it sounds like if you check out Keni Lee Burgess' cake pan reso video I built that one as well.... I bout the cake pan at a Michaels craft store. in the "Cake decorating section". One key thing that improved the sound from my point is I ran a bolt though the drain cover into a hole in the cake pan. I think it improves the sound transfer....Thanks again for your comments.

Keith, Just like to say Welcome to the Nation .. There's soooo much stuff on here to see and do and more infor than you can every consume in months .. Lot of helpful people here too . Just ask and someone will have the answer .. As for the brass jack recesses ..They are small door pulls found in the hardware store. Stanley makes them . I got mine at Lowes around the cabinet hinges and latches ...And Those Dollar tree peizos are ALL that I've used lately... They work great for me . I put them right under the bridge with a small amount of bathroom chalk on the box ,let in dry some and then cover the whole thing with it .. If the box is thick I might sand it down some Where I'm going to put my peizo ... Hope this helps .. But you cann't beat it for a dollar... Just cann't put to muck gain to it on the amp or you get feed back ..Great to have you here ..

hey keith, thanks for the friendship....apologies for takin so long to answer you back, got caught up in build #2...anyhoo, the gold box is tuned G B G and I use medium gauge acoustic strings - 3,4 and 5. it gets a wonderfully and melllow warm tone with a glass slide and gets a little mean when I use metal or stone. will be adding more pics of the final product and the new builds later today.
