The hole is for a strap yep but I was showing how I keep my ball ends from digging in by putting those 2 pieces of fret wire next to them.

Thanks for the feedback on the guitar and strap. I made the macrame strap while watching tv in the evenings. It's not rocket science for sure. Info is readily available at library and on the net. I am keeping it simple for now. Looks like you are not having any problems coloring outside the box!!!

Even tuned 135 you would be missing that all important bass fifth tone string where you play the flatted seventh at the third fret . Actually it might work out better on a 4 string tuned 5135. Just like a mini 6 string tuned in spanish 515135. Enjoy.
