Cheers Digly, and yep I'm not after flexible just plain ol' simple. I suppose I could have just gutted the guitar (upgrading it) I'm getting the pups from and just tried it but I thought I'd ask first as wiring and me aren't real friendly ;-)
I think the answer is 'Yes', depending on the question.
If you just want 2 pickups with one master volume, that's it. You will find diagrams showing a 3-way switch, then a master volume and tone......e.g.
You've simulated having the 3-way switch in the middle and no tone.
It'll work but it's not very flexible. Adding a volume control in each line before the master would give you far more tonal options but that's entirely your choice.
