Presumptuous Pitfalls

Even though I have only made 2 CBGs so far, I am somehow bolstered enough to want to try the electric version.  Is there anything I need to know that I might be overlooking?  I mean...it seems pretty simple to me, so I pretty much figure I'm leaving something out, lol.  Anyone that wants to chime in with advice or let me in on any mistakes I can avoid, your experience is MOST welcome!

  • Enjoy the journey, as Silent Jim said, there's lots of information to be found here. It took me a few tries with my first piezo installation, but they go easy now that I have done a few. Working on my first with a magnetic pickup right now and looking forward to seeing what it will sound like. It's all good, just take your time and enjoy the build. Ya can't do anything that can't be fixed with a little time and effort. :)>

  • Pratice your soldering if you're new to it, start simple, ground everything well.

Most of all, don't sweet it! Have fun!
If you get lost, there are plenty of people at this site willing and happy to help.
  • If at first you don't succeed, get frustrated and give up as it is obviously hopeless ๏_๏

Oh, wait. That is what I would do...

    Okay, let's try this again:

If at first you don't succeed, do exactly the same thing over and over again.

    Be relentless!

Like a dog stuck under a fence who keeps going back and forth, over and over again.

If someone tries to tell you that what you are doing seems like a bad idea, ignore them and do it anyway...

no, wait. That sounds like a bad idea.

    Oh, forget it.
