I f you are referring to a piezo rod, I solder a 2.5mm female audio connector onto the 1/4" terminals of the 1/4" mono jack. I find it easier than cutting off the plug and trying to solder those tiny wires. CBGitty sells a longer jack with a 2.5mm connector already solldered on that looks better than mine end up.

Jim, thanks for the info. I guess I'll check radio shack for the 2.5mm fm jack. Seems easier than soldering the shield wire etc. :)
