Looks Like I Might Have Enough Wood.

Started on the neck and cut some strips for the linings.

IMG_5662a_zps2cmcqo07.jpgHad to drop the exposure, even then it is hard to see how I cut the kerfs in the linings. I use a piece of wood with a slot cut in it to limit the depth of the cut. You have to have all the pieces the same thickness to get the same depth of cut. I dimension them on my drum sander before this stage.

  • What is this "enough wood" of which you speak? lol

  • Great work. Making your own kerfing looks very tedious.

  • I like the look of your old band saw. Looks like cast metal, probably not a lot of plastic on the saw, if any. Watch the fingers, though. Your build-in-progress looks nice, and is a pretty ambitious project. Best of luck for a fine git.
