Note: See if your item is truly brass or only brass COATED. Brass coated items may be stripped down to the base metal by some of these processes.

    Bad Finger has another method based on recycled beer that he used to patina a brass reso cone awhile back.

    The only way that has worked for me, so far, is the fire method. Gives me a great aged look and is fast.
