Thanks much.  Have a go at it!  Part of why I did this one was to demo how easy it can be to knock out a usable instrument without expensive materials and without any excessive need for skills.

Eventually I'm going to post a how-to on using the body assembly technique to make your own uniquely sized or shaped "cigar boxes" to serve as a basis for the cigar box makers that might be wishing to make something a little different.

That's really a lovely instrument!

Clearly your lutherie skills are far beyond my nailing old cans to recycled planks, but I'm intensely jealous.

I've got to try making a quick-and-dirty box guitar using the three "treble strings" you suggest. It won't be pretty, but we'll see what happens.
