Hi. I saw an amp advertised near me, it's a Kustom KGA10 FX model. Anyone own one of these and would you recommend it? It's going cheap and sounds ideal for playing at home
I went to my local pawn shop yesterday and saw a lot of good deals on guitars and amps(I need to quit putting myself through torture). They have a De'Armond guitar that I really want, a PRS and a Jackson offset V for very good prices.
Then I saw the amps: a old Ampeg guitar combo amp, a Mesa-Boggie Dual Rectifier Head, a EVH III head and a bunch of Peavey combo amps.
sounds good. (pun intended). get a can of spray electronics cleaner. before plugging it in, spay the jack hole, see if you can get to the pots, anything that pulls out easily (tubes), pull them out and spray, tighten loose jack nuts, and turn the pot knobs back and forth about 20 times. just some advice from someone who has purchased older amps. let it sit for 30 minutes, longer if it is cold. (what do i know, just trying to help). (sometimes the pots get a spot of corrosion if they haven't been turned for a while.). Have fun. Give you 60 bucks for it.

They do! I decided to buy it, picking it up next week. Looking forward to hearing what my cbg sounds like plugged in!!
Kustom made great amps back in the 70's and early 80's, didn't know they were still around. Watched a couple videos on YouTube and it sounds good.
