This one was a gift for a violist. I 'finished' at 9 PM and it was gifted at 9 AM the next day.
The sound hole is a "f" hole, the tail suggest the bridge from a string section instrument, the headstock has a scroll profile, and for novelty I used a wine cork for the volume knob.
When I started this one, my band-saw decided it had enough of the old tires and threw them like a horse throws a shoe. I did what I could with my table saw and hand tools, but some bits just work better with a band saw. 3 days later the new tires arrived in the mail and I was back in business.
side note: putting new tires on a bandsaw is an adventure all of its own...
