How many instruments have you built so far?: this will be the first

What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).: simplicty of design, great sound and the history of them. wanting to build this for my daughter.she is in music therapy and can use it in in her work

To answer your questions on construction here are three photos.I use a heel when I do a joint like this where the neck portion inside the box is full depth.The joint is only tapered because I think it looks better.

The top and bottom of the neck are relieved inside the box to allow the back and front to vibrate freely,the neck being glued to the box at the joint,tail and two ends of the base.This is another licence plate like No.64,the plate being so I don't see any problems screwing on a back
