"34V ac fully rectified is 48VDC peak. filtered will probably come down to 44V DC.  +- 22V DC is the max for the amp. so maybe its right? "

"why not?  Mainly because 4 strings would be a bit crowded on a 40mm wide neck. for me anyway , and cant let the CBG get jealous of an extra string .  Going to tune it to EAD so i can learn to play it easily and play it with my std guitars.."

neck fretted and how not to do it!

finally got the nerve to fret the neck and ran out of glue half way through. so i got some more glue today i am using Loctite Gel Control in a silver bottle with blue side grips. worth the $5.80 AUD it cost. the other glues i tried either took too long to set or soaked into the wood and didnt stick to the frets.

The frets are made from a Champion branded…

Hi everyone, my name is tim.

I have been playing guitar on and off ( mostly off tune) since i was about 13 when my step father found a handmade guitar under someones house when he was installing telephones back in 1973.

 I have seen Cigar Box Guitars around over the years and always wanted to have a go with one. So i figure now is the time to start and after reading through the forums here and a intensive 3 week google self education binge it time!
