Steve, I am a 67< senior trying guitar building for the first time. Because of little money to work with I will have to work on the cheap. The old truism, a lot of time with little money. I have found a source for cigar boxes and know a fellow that has a shop that fixes and sell guitars that I can get some supply free or near wholesale. Even with this it will take me a month or more to get enough supply's to finish my first one.
Maybe I will do a really primitive one on the side to be able to feel I am accomplishing something. I read where a fellow used vinegar and molasses to get the wood ready and stain. Maybe I will try that with my primitive one should I decide to take that route.
