  I guess I should of told you, I just buy the extra .016 string. Most stores sell individual strings. Enjoy.

  Thank you for your purchases. Yes, I use a slightly heavier (.016) string for the highest string instead of the standard .012 or .013 gauge that comes in the pack. This is to get better string tension because we are tuning down from the standard E note to a D note. This is not entirely necessary, but I have found I get better tone for the slide. The other strings are just like a standard guitar Dgb(d). I hope this answers your question. Enjoy  your practice, Keni Lee
