I'm writing to share my three string fiddle made from a vodka box. I based my designs roughly off of those posted in the CB Fiddle group and from the rebec design in the plans section of the site. The box I used turned out to be very good
Just wanted to share this amazing bit of folk ingenuity with the group: the Horn Violin or Trumpet Violin. It doesn't technically fall under the cigar box category but it does take old rubbish and turn it into a violin!
I'm consider making a bolt on neck but it seems to me that the tension of so many strings would put the box under a lot of stress. I'm wondering what your experiences have been either bolting on or going through. Are their advan
