Question about tuning/ intonation/ bridge placement/string placement

This guitar is a 4 string guitar with E, A, D, G on it (top four). The 12th fret harmonics are perfectly in tune. But the 12th fret is sharp on all strings, almost to the next note. Is the nature of the beast or what should I be looking at to fix

Clear top cigar box

My husband brought me home a cigar box that has a clear acrylic lid. Has anyone built a cbg using one of these types of boxes? I'm sure it would look cool to be able to see bracing and electronics in it, but what kind of sound would it have? Advic
