Homemade Microphone - Housing

What do most use for the mic housing, i`ve seen everything from phones, wood and cans. I use bone only because i have an unlimited amount and it`s already hollowed out. Plus it makes a killer lookin harp mic...lol. Anyone have any other ideas please
