I've got a couple of boxes, but would love to hear some ideas re: what to build, 4 or 6 string and what scale length. Keep in mind I'm a beginner.

Does the distance between a pickup and strings have any effect on sound?

Completing a Box

I read something where a builder said they glued their box shut (to enhance sustain), what's your opinion on that. Seems to me you could be creating a future problem if you have elect.
