Now that I've working out the correct tuning another problem has reared its ugly head. Fretting! When playing one finger chords the large G string (.044) frets really well its those pesky D (.034) and G (.026) strings that won't lay down.
My CBG is still in its infancy stages and I've cut my neck down so it fits flush with the edge of the top of the cigar box. My perceived dilemma is my strings will set too low and hit my deltabucker pickups. I still have to set in all the above items
I'm going nuts, the answer to how high to set the nut varies from the thickness of a playing card, the thickness of a dime to the height of the first fret plus .030. This is my first build and I want it right and to sound awesome. I'm using a blank b
I want to install Deltabucker pickups on my CBG but can't find any info on how far to install them from the neck of the guitar. Most pics I've seen have them about 1 inch from the neck, is there a standard for this type of pickup?
