Read more…I have a 25.5 scale, 3-string CGB tuned GBg and currently use 42, 34, 24 gauge wound strings with a humbucker. I tuned down to EBe and love the playability of the looser feel but want to get the GDg tuning.
I have built two CBGs, one slide w/no frets and one with fretted fingerboard. I'm currently working on a a fretted model with my son.
I found, especially with the fretted one, to get the thing tuned up, the bridge location is not where it should be.
