6-string pickup for a 3-string

Hi There,

I'm on a new build with a question about pickups.

I'm building a 3-string electric, can I use a 6-string pickup for that.

If so, is my string placement "between the dots".

If not, what are my basic options.

To Brace or not to Brace

Hi,

I am planning my next build.

3-string, red oak neck with scarf joint, 24.5 scale,  bone nut and saddle, 

rod piezo mounted under the saddle.

Question,

What are the effects of bracing the underside of the box lid.

Is it worth the effort ?
