I haven't, but judging by a youtube clip showing how to convert an old cassette player into an amp.
A car cassette player might be an easier one to suss out. The reason being that with a cassette player all you have to do is locate the two wires that go to the cassette head and replace them with your jack socket. So In theory the same should apply to a car cassette player.
Hope that's of help, of course if a radio is all you have, then it won't be, but I thought I'd throw the idea in there.
