I've built on CBG, it's Okay, but I wantz sumpin' a little different. My wife's a crafts type person (quilting and so on) and has a large supply ( about 6 or 7) of nice size tins from JD Whiskey (don't ask). I want to build a git box from one of these nice looking, fair sized, black and gold tins. The problem is just how to go about it. I've got SOME IDEA, but need guidance, i.e. how to attach a neck to a thin, metal box.
What I want is a fretless 3 string, electrificified (built an amp in an really nice Cohiba (Cuban no less, I live in Mexico) box with a glass (!) front. Need specifics on build, what type (s) of puickups to use, etc., don't want to screw it up, as I only have a limited supply of these tins and if it works out, would like to build more than one, maybe as Christmas presents.
Any help would be apporeciated. (I'm pretty good wit electronics hacks, not so much with mechanical ones).
Thanks

Contact the following CBN members: Uncle John, David "Dr. Easy" Reed, Paul Dawson, and most especially, bairfoot cajun. BC has a set of build pics here:

Contact him directly, as he's very helpful ( so are the others, it's just that he can build a guitar out of just about anything!).
