Wanna give a shout out to all my CBG' brothers who are just starting out and cutting into and onto and up their first or second or so cbg. Building these things is a blast. Experiment explore and make some mistakes , just learn from em. Im a fellow newbee I started about 5 or so months ago and had never even worked wood before. Built hot rods though so got the measure and cut thing down haha. One thing I want to say is if you need to get some information get it. I was stuck and needed help like right now. I bought the gittyman book, and this is no horseshit, because i followed it got through my first build and my grand childrens . hey gramps didnt want to fail with his grandkids. and every build I use that book until I got a process down. now im flying solo for most of my builds which im totally loveing these days. No frustration just alot of experimenting. So be encouraged , make mistakes , dont be dogged out if someones says " oh you bought a book ?" yeah they help . and build for the JOY of it . I also got the red dog cd,s you get alot of questions answered in there . No marketing here Just want to let you guys know im in the same boat as you and we all have fun in this here boat of cbg's Now if I can only learn how to play better HAHHAA, hey guys have a great day building and dont cut yer thumbs! if it aint fun ? then why build it

Thanks for the encouragement, buck bass.....gonna start on my first one, as soon as I order Mordecai's book! I've been a hot rodder most of my life, too, so I don't see doing this as a problem....I can't wait to get started. My only issue is: I don't know how to play a damn thing but the radio, but everyone says playing a CBG is easy to pick up, so I'm going to give it a go....heaven help my wife!
