Yesterday evening i wanted to apply an extra layer of poly eurethane laquer on my last built cbg ( my second) for protection and also to keep the linseed oil residue in. I seem to be allergic to linseed oil, so earlier on i removed it by wiping thoroughly with thinner and sanding hard. After that i put on some layers of spray laquer, but the oil still bleeded thru somehow. It kept burning my hand. So i wanted some thicker heavier laquer on it and decided on brushing on poly eurethane. I hung it from an old microphone stand with some wire so i could finish it all around. But when i got to the underside of the box i must have pushed it up too much because the wire came loose and it crashed to the floor! ...
The top of the box now has a crack along the lenght.
(I cried like a baby and got drunk after that)
After a really bad night's sleep i just decided to take it to a real luthier and let him try to salvage it somehow.

I don't want to take a photo of it. It hurts too much. Thanks for the tips but i'd rather bring it to the luthier because i don't want to take any chances. It's the top, so the bridge has to be able to put pressure on it again. Furtermore I have to take it on vacation in 3 weeks to the US so there's not much time anymore to experiment.
Yeah, the scars may probably add a little mojo.
