Connecting a Neck

I'm putting together the materials to make a 6 string CBG, and bought a new old stock Harmony classical neck. Fully fretted and with slotted tuners (that's why I bought it, they look too good to use any others, reminds me of a Dobro). The neck is only 1.75in at the nut so it'll be a wide steel string rather than a typical classical. I have several ideas for installing the neck, got em off the build site, but nothing seems to be "just what the doctor ordered". Any and all advice welcome, thanks
