Has anyone made one with the twisted nylon masonry strings and eyebolt string tighteners?
Which is best classic strings or if using real guitar strings do you think classic or folk strings are best?

My point of view is the best strings are the cheapest ones you can get your hands on quickly. :)
In general though, I'd recommend sticking to light or extra light weight strings so the tension is a little less and the whole thing doesn't collapse by accident.
I've seen several people use eyebolt tuners - in particular take a look at Crow's work and videos. Haven't seen anyone try mason line yet - care to give it a try and let us know how it works?
