  • Well here's an option.  I ship worldwide.  Guitars start at $230 plus actual shipping.  Might be a little more than you wanted to spend, but they're a little different than most.  www.biglerguitars.com

    • Beautiful guitars but its more a fact of what i have to spend rather than want to spend sadly.
    • Let me offer you a little advice.  If you want something that you will only play with a slide, things such as action and, to a certain extent, intonation won't matter much.  However, it you want to combine a slide with some fingering play get a fretted instrument, with action somewhere around 2/64ths at the first fret and at about 6/64ths down around the 17th fret.  Some folks like it slightly higher, but I wouldn't raise it much from that or you'll find it hard to finger and the intonation will be pretty far off from the string stretch.  Also, get an instrument where the strings are spaced as far apart as possible.  My necks are 1 20/32 inches wide and I set the outside strings to 4/32 inches from the edge, for example.  This will make slide play easier. Of course, I'm only telling you how I setup my guitars and different builders have their preferences.  I'm not saying I'm right and anyone else is wrong.  We all do what works for us personally.  But, its not much fun playing an unplayable instrument.

  • Will do and thanks again
  • Sent him a msg. Thanks for the heads up.
    • YW, and Good Luck!  John's a great guy, very involved with the Nation and has put together some terrific instruments.  Be sure to tell him I sent you!
