Throwing myself into this

Greetings from Oakland

I found CBGs on line while trying to figure out how to use up some ASH 1x2 stock that I had left over from a camp workshop building festival chairs.  Seemed like the perfect follow up....chairs to sit in while playing. The workshop was a great success and there are now 11 new converts to the world of CBGs and a bunch of us wanting to build another and make improvements....talk of ukes, canjos and dulcimers are also being heard.  Here's a pic of the chair project that started me on the path, and the class and their CBG's.  Looking forward to learning more from you all.

  •      That is a good re-purpose right there. It fits into the CBG concept of using "found" items to make an instrument. Good job,you got a whole band out of a bunch of chairs. Keep 'em coming.

  • Fantastic start!

Make some noise and spread the word!

    Have fun!

  • Cool. Welcome to the nation. Now you can all sit in your chairs and have a jam session.

  • Chair idea looks good. Welcome to the Nation!
