New guy here in Md. I'm a machinist and this is what I ended up building after finding this site. Lots of good info. here so joined after lurking around for a good while.
Nice looking job you did! I notice a lot of guys use screws thru the lid of the box into the neck, is that the only attachment between the neck and the lid or is the neck glued to underside of the lid as well?? I ask as I'm interested in knowing any issued with vibration if it is only screwed at those two locations?
The top screws only hold the lid down but not to tight. There's a reinforcement block under the neck that is glued and screwed to the bottom of the box.
Looks great John. Now that you've built your first you will surely want to build more. Welcome to the nation, lots of fun folks here and plenty of good information to dig through.
Very nice build. My guess is that it won' be your last one!
