New to CBGs and Big Island of Hawaii

Greetings, all. I'm a 58 year old originally from Washington State/Seattle/Tacoma area. We recently moved to the Big Island of Hawaii near Keaau. I'm a guitar hack of many years, and even played in three bands in the 1970s. I've been interested in Cigar Box guitars for a while now, and finally ordered one from an ebay seller. It's a 3 string acoustic/electric with frets. I was considering getting a fretless 3 string, but ended up going with this one:    http://www.ebay.com/itm/180803709586?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I'm not ready to try to build one yet--maybe later. I kind of put the guitar away for a while, and when I went back to it I found I didn't want to use a pick any more. I enjoy playing slide on my acoustic guitar. I play it in standard tuning and haven't tried any alternate tunings. I sold most of my amps when we moved. I have three amps now. An old Fender Deluxe 112 Plus (solid state), a Pignose 60 watt tube combo with a 12" speaker, and a Bugera small combo with an 8".

Anyway, I'm looking forwards to trying this CBG when it arrives.
