Hello everybody. My name's Ron from Calvert county Maryland. I always wanted to learn how to play guitar but it just seemed too tough for me.  I was at a local cigar store this past weekend and saw this odd looking instrument on the wall. Turns out that it's a cigar box guitar. After the "hey that's neat" factor I started asking the man behind the counter some questions. He didn't know much about it other than the guy who builds them said "anybody can play it" but I wasn't sure if that meant it's cool to pull it down and act a fool or anybody can actually play music on it. After a few more minutes the man says it was built for the store but he could call the guy or give me the number if I wanted more info.

Anyway, I called SlowHound from the cigar store and he was more than kind. He gave me an over the phone lesson with the guitar at the store and I was shocked. Now I'm not saying it was great but I could hear something there. He encouraged me to explore this site and build my own but I gotta have one now. I'll be meeting him this week and hopefully bringing home my own CBG.
