I found this forum in my endless search for some kind of stringed instrument I can actually play. Three years ago I thought I found that elusive tool in a strum stick. I built one then two and so on until I had built and given away 7 of the eight or so that came out playable. I then thought I would try my hand at a more refined dulcimer. I kinda have a tendency to go over the top in most things I do so in my typical fashion the dulcimandotar was built (actually copied from Olympia dulcimers)
It turned out great and plays sweet, for someone that has less than sausage fingers like myself. After a long break I decided to once again build something I can actually play, witch leads me here. I have build my first cbg with help of the vast knowledge shared here and I might add the great service and super fast shipping of C.B. Gitty. I am also putting the finishing touches on cbg #2 ( A lefty for a Pastor at our church).
here's #1
Thanks for looking and I look forward to building and learning to play half as well as some here.

Beautiful work Frank, and welcome. This is a great place. These instruments are addictive.
Looking good Frank. Your words ring true. Keep building and playing. Making music is good for you. Your soul and heart needs it.
Hugely impressive, Frank. The two instruments shown look the absolute business. You are clearly a craftsman, and build with what a recent correspondent of mine described as"a 5lb bag of patience"!
Keep up the good work!
