Hi my name is Jeff, I am also from Australia. Western Sydney NSW.
I am a carpenter and have been building CBG's for about 18months. I have built about 10 so far, given 7 away to family as gifts. I mostly play my 3 string but I have built some 4 strings too as these seem to suite those with guitar knowledge. See photo on my page for the CBG's I have kept for me, the 4 string is missing the bridge at the moment as I gave that to my nephew for a CBG I made him earlier in my CBG making and had improved my technique since that time. The CBG is the first instrument that I have learnt/ learning to play, and so far I still build better than I play but I am getting better, and my understanding of music is also getting better.
I have transposed a tab for "A Fistful of Dollars" for Gdg tuning if anybody is interested. I am trying to make a video of me playing it but so far I keep stuffing it up, but its a fun tune to play.
CBG's have sparked an interest in guitars generally for me and I have just made a travel guitar from an old acoustic guitar. Below is a video of how I made it.

That's probably enough about me and the video will tell you exactly who I am.
Bye for now,
Jeff

Welcome aboard Jeff. It is hard to play with your kids hanging on your back yelling Dad in your ear isn't it?
Like what you did to a broken guitar to get a working Travel Guitar. You'll fit in nicely around hear.
