Hello all, I have only recently been bitten by the bug, but I already have built 10-12 guitars in a matter of 2 months and I just can't seem to stop. Right now I am only using piezos, but I think I am about to venture up to magnetic pups. I fell into the hobby just to make myself a guitar, but have had more than a warm reception with them and have accumulated over 30 orders. I figure by the time I get caught up, I should be able to build myself a real sweet guitar. I look forward to being a contributing member to the site, since it has contributed quite a bit to my knowledge of building. I wouldn't be doing what I am doing if not for stumbling across CBN.
Until next time, happy building and keep on picking!

Hi Terry...and welcome to the addiction. I'm on build# 4 right now, but have orders for five more. It's a great hobby and a great group here. Look forward to hearing more from you.
Thanks for the welcome. I am sure I will be online any available time I have after my family and job obligations are tended to. But remember, I also have to have time to build!
I already have a box for the body and some tuning keys I got off an old ukelele . I was wondering if it was worth the money to add a piezo?
You can add a piezo for just a few bucks including the jack, so I would opt for it. It will also give you the opportunity to shape your sound with the amplifier instead of only having acoustic abilities.
Hi Christopher, I believe I only had $15 in my first build, but I had alot of the parts already laying around. My current builds I am buying everything to put them together and I still only have about $40 in them. What were you considering spending extra money on?

Hi, I recently started plans for my first build and don't really want to spend to much on it. Im your opinion is it worth the extra money on a first build?
