Hello
I'm new here, not even done much lurking... I've made a few very basic one-string things, here's a fairly poor photo:
Tin-can-on-a-plank was first, then the very short one (or "the tiddly bow," as I think of it) & more recently the broom handle job on the left (which is currently more or less balanced together, awaiting application of wood finish and glue).
Anyway, I'm very happy with - and quite amazed at - the crazy range sounds that can be got from these brutally basic boxes, but I'm also very keen to learn how to make more varied, advanced and polished looking little beasties - & I have to say looks like I'll get plenty of ideas and insights around here.

Nice first timers for sure. Welcome to our madness. Addiction, fantasy, fun.
Welcome, those are nice little builds. I've been working on a couple of more "polished" ones myself after a couple of basic ones. Just don't know where your ideas will lead you to. There are no rules, have fun.
