I’ve wanted to try a cigar box guitar for a while but didn’t really know where to find one.  Well, this week the LA Times ran an article about these beauties and gave a nice shout-out to Cigar Box Nation.  I figured I’d give it a look and before I knew what hit me I’d had contact with Jag at jagshouse.com, Wayne at Bigler Guitars, John at Cigar Box music, had an informative conversation with a guy in Oregon who builds under the name Brax-Tone and heard from John Farthing who told me his band, The Budrows Band, plays gigs right here in beautiful Southern CA!  This is like drinking from a fire hose!  Anyways, I bought a thing or two (or three) and my youngest son and I plan on doing a little jamming and, hopefully, a little building.  I appreciate all the postings regarding both and I plan on learning as much as I can from the vets here on how to build and play one of these contraptions.  I’m glad you folks are here.
