Glad to see I'm not the only one.

I've been building non-traditional guitars for a few years.  I got started after seeing Justin Johnson play his shovel guitar.  At first, I thought it was the craziest thing I had ever seen and wrote it off as a gimmick.  But, I kept going back and watching the video because it just fascinated me that he was playing an instrument made out of something that was never intended for that purpose.  I ended up making four of them.  It was fun, but I wanted to make guitars out of other stuff.  I assisted my daughter with a jewelry box guitar for her 4H project. Then I made some pizza box guitars, They were much louder than I thought they would be.  Wanting to amp them up, I took some old strat pickups and made electric pizza box guitars.  Heck, I even had Justin Johnson show up at gearfest at Sweetwater in 2018 and jam on one of the pizza boxes.  Then I came up with the idea of building a guitar body with a brownie pan and luan.  After a few tweaks in the design over the last 2 years, I feel like I have come up with a cool unique design based on the classic Uncle Crow cbg.

Thanks for the chance to be part of a community of creative, resourceful builders.  I hope to learn from the resources here.  I'm not a huge joiner and I've just kind of been plugging away doing my own thing and not talking to other builders for a while.  It feels good to get a bit more social.
