Hello. My name is Alan. I have been addicted to building CBGs for about a year now.
CBGs have really opened my world! I just completed #15. I have sold three and given away 5.
I like the three string frettless so i am sticking to that.
It has been lots of fun building and playing these!
The neck for my first CBG was made from a piece of black walnut my dad and grand dad "milled" in 1944. It's from the family farm back in Minnesota. I don't play it much but I will never part with it. My dad passed away in 2011. Grand dad passed away in the early 1950s. Three generations worked on this CBG.
Anyway. I thought I'd join the group.
Thanks,
Alan

Welcome aboard. Great story, I would never part with it either. Pass it down through the family.
